However, with France banning BPA from food packaging from 1 January 2015, it raises a question if it should be banned from the UK too?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Professor Andreas Kortenkamp from the Institute for the Environment at Brunel University featured on the program shares strong views on the issue. He has been conducting research into BPA and thinks that quite a few member states might follow the French example. Breast Cancer UK has also make it clear that BPA is one of the chemicals that they are concerned about.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here at Friends of Glass we know that unlike other packaging materials, glass is 100% natural, and so ensures that the taste and safety of your food and drink go unharmed. This ensures that glass as a packaging material is completely inert \u2013 so it doesn\u2019t affect the contents placed within it, as some other packaging materials can do in some circumstances. Glass protects the contents from outside forces, ensuring that when you choose glass packaged products, you\u2019re getting exactly what you were expecting from the product within it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So next time you\u2019re at the supermarket, think about your packaging, and not just your food and drink.
