Paul Lough, manager at Parker Dairies, whose customers include shoe designer Christian Louboutinand and tech companies in Hoxton and Shoreditch said: \u2018We have started to become hip and trendy again\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, the return of milk bottle may not be limited to fashionable East London. Michael Mitchell, finance director at Pensworth Dairy in Wiltshire told the <a href=\"https:\/\/next.ft.com\/content\/e9b2a0f8-0e06-11e6-b41f-0beb7e589515\">Financial Times<\/a> that the company had upgraded its glass bottle production facility after strong sales in the past five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2016\/04\/25\/return-of-the-milkman---but-they-charge-twice-as-much-as-superma\/\">The Telegraph<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2016\/may\/03\/milkfloats-comeback-retro-revival\">the Guardian<\/a> have also reported on the trend, with articles commenting that the once-familiar early morning clink of glass bottles of milk arriving on the doorstep is set to make a comeback.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It seems that the rise of home grocery deliveries and ever-busy family life are other reasons why early milkman deliveries are growing in popularity. Muller is leading the way with plans to expand its milkman service after buying milk&amp;more from Dairy Crest last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, here at Friends of Glass we\u2019re very excited to see the comback of milk glass bottles.
